Our Mission Statement

THE CRA FOUNDATION AND ITS SISTER CAR FONDAZIONE ARE DEVOTED TO SUPPORTING PROFESSIONALS, RESEARCHERS, ARTISANS AND ARTISTS LIVING OR WORKING IN ROME IN A DYNAMIC INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The CRA Foundation awards grants and internships [mostly small stipends and a place to work] to a select group of individuals -artisans, researchers, artists- who have applied for and gone through the acceptance process. The winners may use the Foundation's facilities or work from other associated or specifically-chosen locations. The goal is to provide an environment conducive to applying and studying the Classical Roman contributions to the chosen area of work to produce new works in the Classical Roman tradition or new insights into the existing body of work.

The CRA Foundation also provides, by itself or in cooperation with other institutions, support in terms of event production and organization, for professionals, artists, artisans and scholars to present their works -whether finished or in progress- with the goal of enriching the Classical Arts and showcasing their evolution and influence.

The CRA Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or any other basis proscribed by Italian or American or European law. Furthermore, it strives to actively encourage the non-discrimination on these explicitly bases or on any basis contrary to basic human values.
